Buying a new home or hooking an existing home up to a sewer or water can be difficult and tricky for any homeowner. J L Martin Septic can assist with your project safely and efficiently as we offer the following services:

• Call water company to identify the correct location of the connection
• Excavation for the pipe work needed to connect your home properly to the water or septic system
• Testing of piping to ensure safe operation
• Back fill and yard repair of any excavation project
  

The information on this page covers the water and sewer connection process for existing homes and new single-family dwellings submitted as a plot plan and may not be applicable for large development projects. If your project involves site plan approval, subdivision approval or extension of water and sewer mains, additional requirements will apply.

In order to connect to utilities, an applicant must:



1. Determine availability. 

2. Apply for appropriate permits and pay fees. 

3. Contact water or sewer services through a private contractor or the City like J L Martin Septic and excavation

4. Set up an account and request a meter.
